I am sitting at our writing table now. Computer in the middle, dictionary and notebooks spread out to my left; phone, kleenex, more papers to my right. There is plenty of room for my disorganization so I don’t feel I’m in the middle of a mess!

Our table is long, the design graceful and simple. The cherry top, made from wide matching planks, is finished to a thickness of 7/8 inch. The softly arched skirt is joined to tapered legs which are slightly hipped.

We use traditional joinery, including tenons cross-pinned in square mortises. Our finish is boiled linseed oil and paste wax. Linseed oil provides protection and reveals the depth of grain in the wood with a lustrous gleam. The final coat of wax highlights and further protects the wood.
